Sewage Treatment PlantSewage is basically generated from domestic uses like canteens, kitchens, bathrooms and toilets. Sewage treatment or domestic waste water treatment is the process of removing contaminants from waste water and household sewage. The domestic sewage is initially trapped in septic tanks after which it is subjected to treatment.Physical separation : It involves solid screening, oil and grease and equalization of sewage.Biological treatment : It is an aerobic kind of Bio-treatment. Aerobic means in the pressure of oxygen provided by blower & diffusers. Oxygen enhances bio-degradation by highly specific Bio-mass to reduce maximum BOD up to 95%. It is a suspended growth type Bio-treatment, which gives better load reduction than any other Bio-treatment.Tertiary : It is nothing but filtration by sand and carbon filters which removes Suspended Solids, Colour, Odour and Chlorides from water. Finally, water is disinfected chemically to remove pathogenic organisms which are involved in biological treatment.
