HE Hydrocyclone is a hydraulic classification device. The feed suspension enters the feed chamber through the tangential feed adapter. As the feed stream spirals down to the cone from the cylindrical feed chamber ,oversized material is thrown to the walls of the cone by centrifugal force and discharges from the cone through the adjustable rubber apex value.The main body of liquid containing the fines spirals back up the center of the cone and exits through a vortex finder. As the overflow steam leaves the upper end of the vortex finder it discharges to an overflow pipe/elbow.
