Tambour Rolls

Tambour Rolls (Reel Spools) : A reel spool, on which the paper web is wound to build a reel on the
winder, requires a relatively hard cover (2 to 19 p&j) that resists
wear and bounce. The cover provides a smoother and more stable wind and
positive sheet pick-up. Rubber or
polyurethane reel spool covers provide excellent vibration dampening
properties, a high coefficient of friction and good cut resistance to
reduce noise and provide a tight wrap of paper on the spool quickly in
order to minimize waste.
