Tramdol Hydrochloride Capsules

Tramdol is used to relieve moderate to moderately severe pain. Tramdol extended-release tablets and capsules are only used by people who are expected to need medication to relieve pain around-the-clock. Tramdol is in a class of medications called opiate analgesics. Tramdol works by changing how your brain senses pain. Tramdol is similar to substances in your brain called endorphins. Endorphins bind to receptors. The receptors then decrease the pain messages that your body sends to your brain. Take this medication by mouth as directed by your doctor, usually every 4 to 6 hours as needed for pain relief. You may take this drug with or without food. If you have nausea, it may help to take this drug with food. Ask your doctor or pharmacist about other ways to decrease nausea.
