The black gramme, also known as urad bean, mash Kalai, uzhunnu parippu, ulundu paruppu, minapa Pappu, and Uddu or black matpe, is a South Asian bean. It has been reassigned from the Phaseolus genus to the Vigna genus, just like its relative, the mung bean.
