Waterborne coatings are water-based coatings. Water-based paints include water-soluble paints, water-reducible paints, and water-dispersible paints (latex paints). The production process of waterborne wood lacquer is a simple physical mixing process. Waterborne wood lacquer uses water as a solvent without any harmful volatilization. It is the safest and most environmentally friendly furniture lacquer coating by 2018. However, due to the combination of coating effect and coating process, the market share of water-based furniture lacquer in the domestic market is still very low, but its low-carbon environmental protection concept is the future direction of furniture lacquer development. The difference between waterborne wood lacquer and oily wood lacquer
Oil-based paints have higher relative hardness and better fullness, but water-based paints are more environmentally friendly.
Usually oily paints use organic solvents, commonly referred to as "Tana water" or "banana water", which are contaminated and can be burned. It can be seen that water-based paints and oil-based paints are fundamentally different in terms of environmental protection and health. Waterborne wood lacquer is the most technically challenging and technologically advanced product in wood coatings. Water-based wood lacquer is more and more popular with the market because of its non-toxic, environmentally friendly, odorless, volatile, non-flammable, non-explosive, high-safety, non-yellowing, and large brushing area.
