Eucalyptus Oil Botanical Name - Eucalyptus globulus Eucalyptus essential oil is obtained from fresh leaves of the tall, evergreen eucalyptus tree by extraction procss. The tree, scientifically classified as Eucalyptus Globulus is also known as fever tree, blue gum tree or stringy bark tree, depending on where it is located in the world. Properties- Anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, decongestant, deodorant, antiseptic, antibacterial, stimulating. Direction to use Steam Inhalation: Great for colds. Add 4-6 drops to a bowl of hot water. Place a towel over your head and breathe in the vapor. Keep your eyes shut. Continue to breathe deeply for a few minutes, occasionally removing the towel and your head from the bowl. Massage- Add 10 to 30 drops in 50ml of base oil or carrier oil (Til or coconut) and massage on affected part or give full body massage. By Compress - May soothe aches, sprains or swelling. add 1 drop for 100 ml cold or hot water . soak cloth in the water , squeeze it tightly and place over the affected area for 10 min. repeat the procedure 3-4 times. Use hot water for muscular aches and cold for sprains or headaches. Room Freshener- For fresh and fragrant atmosphere add 2-4 drops on vaporizer. Also add to spray bottle 4 drops to 200ml water and spray. add few drops to water used for cleaning the floor, tables and counters. Caution- Not to be taken orally.Do not use aroma for children age below one year. Reduce the number of essential oil drops to half or one fourth according to age in children below 12 Years. Never use essential oil directly. Always mix them with base or carrier oil. Avoid in pregnancy, lactation, infants, patients with epilepsy, asthma, heart problems, cancer, fever, allergy, infectious skin conditions, post operative period. Avoid contact with eyes, genital area, open wounds. Store in cool and dry Place, away from sunlight, heat and children. Close the cap tightly and avoid contact with water.  It can caused kidney inflammation if absorbed into blood so avoid high concentration. Uses For Hair- for lice and nits, added to Mahanadi mix to avoid cold.
