The product is effective at temperatures greater than 300OF (149OC). Its performance is not significantly affected by contaminants. It overcomes  cement contamination and reacts   with calcium to lessen the contaminating effects on the drilling fluid. The effectiveness of FED RHEOSMART treated drilling fluid systems is reduced in very high salinity fluids.
