H22C1 is a master alloy for 875-917 (21-22 Kt) yellow gold jewelry, designed as an all-purpose formulation. This alloy was conceived for excellent age-hardening performance in 875-917 yellow gold. H22C1 is suitable for lost-wax casting in closed systems. In closed system it is also suitable for stone-in-place casting in titles 875 and 917. The alloy can also be used for continuous casting and for ingot casting of semi-finished items such as sheet, wire and tube. The main mechanical deformation processes in which H22C1 can be used are stamping, wire making, hollow chain and hollow tube production. The color of 875-917 gold made using H22C1 shows a light yellow hue. The hardness of 875-917 gold alloyed with H22C1 can be greatly increased by means of a heat treatment.
