The regular use of many
antibiotic growth promoters in poultry and livestock feeds has been
banned as it leads to development of resistance and making them
in-effective for treatment of humans, livestock and poultry. In this
situation, the development of Herbiotic FS effectively fulfils the
emerging needs for natural and safe antimicrobial growth promoter,
which may effectively replace the use of these synthetic antibiotics
in feeds, which are required to be used for therapeutic purposes, in
animals and human beings. Since its anti-microbial action is
multi-directional, Herbiotic FS opens a new possibility of
controlling gut pathogens without resistance development and
completely eliminating the possibility of leaving traces of any
antibiotic in eggs and meat, for complete safety of the animals and
humans.
Herbiotic FS, a purely
herbal product has lower MIC than Zn-bacitracin and other in-feed
antibiotic growth promoters against common gut pathogens such as
E.coli, Klebsiella, Staphylococcus, Pseudomonas, Salmonella, Bacillus
subtilis, Proteus etc. Herbiotic FS also contains oligosaccharides,
which act as prebiotics to augment the population of beneficial
microflora in the gut and help maintain right balance between
beneficial and pathogenic microflora in the intestine. Herbiotic FS
prevents irritation of the intestinal lining and enhances uptake of
nutrients by mucosal layer of the intestine. Herbiotic FS also
improves the palatability of feed and thereby improves the intake and
utilisation of feed.
Herbiotic FS thus reduces
the level of pathogenic microbial population in the gut, prevents
loss of dietary energy and improves production performance. Herbiotic
FS can be safely used as feed supplement to maintain optimum
absorption and utilisation of feed in poultry and farm animals by
limiting the level of pathogenic gut organisms and to simultaneously
improve growth, FCR, production performance as well as hatchability
in breeders, with reduced incidence of infections and mortality.

While AGPs may have
adverse effects on intestinal villi, Herbiotic FS has been found
useful in increasing the number, height and absorptive surface of
intestinal villi to enhance uptake and utilization of nutrients to
improve FCR and growth. Since antimicrobial action of Herbiotic FS
is multidirectional, it allows more effective control of gut
pathogens without resistance development. Moreover, as Herbiotic FS
is completely herbal, it eliminates the possibilities of antibiotic
residues in meat and eggs for complete safety of animals and humans
and spares the antibiotics for therapeutic use.

USAGE :
To improve F.C.R.,
growth and body weight gain in broilers, turkeys and farm animals
and egg production in commercial layers and breeder birds.
As nutritional
support to enhance body resistance against enteric bacterial
diseases and to minimise the chances of infections and mortality.
To improve fertility
and hatchability in breeder birds.
