We collect wild honey from tribesmen belonging to group who have been extracting honey for decades from forest areas part of Bandipur Tiger Reserve And National Park and Nagarhole National Park And Tiger Reserve.

Honey and beeswax have been extracted from wild beehives for more than hundreds of years. We collect Wild honey from hives build by Wild honeybees in hollow trees, old logs or rock caves. Traditionally, honey collectors climb trees or lower themselves down to reach out to the bee hives. Firstly, smoke is used to drive away the bees from the wild hive and access the honeycombs, making 30,000 to 50,000 bees homeless. Thus collectors protect themselves by wearing long gloves and clothing to reduce bee stings. Honey would then be gathered out from the honey combs by squeezing with help of hand. Obtained honey is later filtered to remove other participles and preserved in airtight clay jars.
