The Screw Screen is used to screen waste water having high solid content, that can be subsequently compacted. At the lower end is placed the screen basket, made of drilled metal sheet or wedge wire, depending on the application. At the upper end, can be placed a dewatering/compactor modulus that allows both the weight and volume reduction (up to 35-40%, depending on the screenings).
The screw is shaftless and reinforced.
The screen is placed inside a channel or inside a properly designed tank, this one having inlet and outlet spouts designed accordingly to the customer's needs.
