STORAGECONDITION: Store in cool and dry place, away from direct heat and light. Do not put medicine in bathroom or any humid place. Keep away from children and pets.

HOW TO USE: To apply the eye drops wash your hand and eye first. Remove lance before applying the medicine. To not touch the tip of the container. Put 1 drop in each eye for 4-6 times in one day. Use regularly to get better benefits.

HOW CHLORAMPHENICOL WORKS: Chloramphenicol is lipid soluble drug. It will diffuse through the cell membrane of bacteria and binds with the protein which makes the bacterial cell wall and inhibits the synthesis of bacterial cell wall. By this activity Chloramphenicol stops the bacterial growth and gives anti-bacterial activity.

PHARMACOKINETICS: Chloramphenicol rapidly absorbed in GI after oral administration. Chloramphenicol binds with almost 50-60% of plasma proteins. The half-life of Chloramphenicol in normal health person is between 1.5-3.5 hours and 3-4 hours in patient with impaired renal function. The elimination of Chloramphenicol is done by kidneys and very less amount of drug excreted unchanged by urination.

SIDE EFFECTS: Temporary blurred vision, itching in eye, irritation in eye, burning and stinging in eye may occur after application. Tell your doctor if you see side effects like loss of vision; sever burning, vision change or problem in eye opening.

PRECAUTION: Remove eye lenses before using the medication. Do not touch the tip of the container. Kindly shake well container before use. Tell your doctor if you have any allergic reaction to Chloramphenicol. This drug can cause blurred vision so kindly avoid driving and operating the machineries.
